The Azbuka Vkusa retail chain has decided to grow vegetables under its own brand. The first harvest of potatoes will go to stores under the Mosalsky Ogorod brand. The company does not disclose the volume of investments in the project or the size of the harvest, Vedomosti learned.

“Azbuka Vkusa” is a Russian retail company. It owns 170 stores in Moscow, the Moscow region and St. Petersburg, the av.ru online store, its own culinary production and private brands, and the AV Grand Cafe restaurant. Revenue amounted to 77.2 billion rubles in 2022.

In October, Azbuka Vkusa launched the production of dietary supplements under its own brand Azbuka Life. The bioadditives are produced in the facilities of the French company Irati. The retail price will vary from 1.2 thousand to 2.7 thousand rubles. According to DSM Group, in August 2023, the average cost of a package of dietary supplements was 347 rubles, a year-on-year increase of 22%.
