iOS 17.1 now lets you choose which albums to display photos on your lock screen.

Starting with iOS 16, users can store an image in the shuffle to display on the lock screen. But the current parliamentary system has prohibited it. Instead, iOS itself displays images by category (people, pets, nature or city), which are displayed on the animals’ lockscreen.

Starting with iOS 17.1, this shortcoming has been eliminated. Now users can select a specific album, photos from which will be on the lock screen.

How to set a photo album on the lock screen

1. create a new lock screen
2. In the wallpaper section, select Shuffle photo
3. Click the button Album and select the album that will be displayed on the lock screen
4. Click the button Use album

iOS 17.1 is now available in beta. The public release will be prepared in October or October. [9to5Mac]
