Samsung announced the launch of One UI 6 during the Samsung Developer Conference 2023 (SDC23) this Thursday (05).
The operating system based on Android 14, released yesterday (04), was in beta for smartphones in the Galaxy S23 series. However, the software has been tested by Samsung since at least May of this year.
What’s new in One UI 6
According to the technology giant, One UI 6 brings a suite of improvements for applications and many new design features, in addition to providing a more user-friendly experience and being highly customizable.
In this sense, the quick panel of the system has a new look and offers grouped settings for easier use. For example, it allows you to adjust the brightness of the mobile phone. One UI 6 also gained One UI Sans, a new font that improves the readability of the screen.
The software now analyzes the images you view for photos and suggests more relevant editing tools. Samsung Studio now performs multi-layer editing for videos, allowing adding text, stickers and music.
In terms of security, One UI 6 now has access to Knox Matrix, an integrated security platform for multiple devices. However, the operating system now has native access to cipher keys (Portuguese for access keys), a means of logging in without passwords popularized by Google.
