Wildberries will build a logistics center in Uzbekistan; could become the company’s largest center outside Russia. The market will invest around $140 million in the project, the Wildberries press service reports.
The logistics center will provide 7.5 thousand jobs to Uzbek citizens. The company has begun preparing a feasibility study for the project and design documentation. Construction is scheduled to be completed in 2025.
The surface of the center will be more than 150 thousand square meters. m. Thanks to the new hub, local entrepreneurs will be able to reduce logistics costs and use funds to scale their businesses, says Rafael Abrahamyan, the company’s international development director.
Previously, a joint project with the Uztekstilprom Association to support the export of Uzbek textiles was announced on the market. In cooperation with the platform, local manufacturers plan to enter the CIS market.
