Russian design brand Caviar presented a special limited version of the iPhone 15 Pro for 7.2 million rubles. The body of the luxury device is made of 24-carat gold, and a fragment of the oldest Muonionalusta meteorite is mounted on the panel. In reference to various eras in Earth’s history, the device was named the Time Machine.
The age of the meteorite particle is estimated to be approximately 4.5 billion years. The panel of the smartphone was also decorated with other ancient elements, for example, a piece of Tyrannosaurus rex tusk (80 million years old), a fragment of a megalodon tooth, a mammoth tusk (20 thousand years BC) and a spear Roman (200 -400 years AD), as well as a fragment of a Swedish bullet (early 18th century) and a fragment of an iPhone 2G from 2007.
These elements are part of artifacts from different periods in the history of the planet. The authors of the luxury device position it as a time machine, allowing “to touch ancient treasures.” The concept is completed with a real mechanical clock in the shape of a crescent, placed on the back cover of the device.
The 128 GB version of the iPhone 15 Pro will cost 7,185,000 rubles, the configuration with a 256 GB drive costs 7,205,000 rubles, with a 512 GB drive it costs 7,230,000 rubles, and the 1 TB iPhone 15 Pro can be buy for 7,255,000 rubles. A total of 3 of these devices will be launched.
