Windows 11, two years after its release, has not been able to surpass the previous version of Windows 10 in popularity. The share of the “ten” in the global PC presence is slowly declining, and the new version of the operating system is criticized by users.

Windows 11 has failed to surpass Windows 10 in popularity two years after its launch.

The latest version of the Windows 11 operating system turned out to be less popular among PC users than its previous version, Windows 10, according to data from StatCounter.

According to statistics, Windows 10 is installed on 71.6% of personal computers in the world, while its updated version, Windows 11, is popular only among 23.6% of users.

Since the release of Windows 11 in 2021, Windows 10’s share has decreased by only 8%. Two years after the launch of Windows 10 in 2015, the operating system already had a market share of 33%, 10% more than Windows 11 under the same circumstances.

Users criticize Windows 11 for the inconvenience of the Start menu and the lack of functions that existed in Windows 10 when working with the taskbar. In addition, many Windows 11 users are having difficulty switching to Windows 10: the new operating system demands more PC components.
