VKontakte will be making changes to the process of verifying profiles and communities starting next year. One of the new criteria will be the number of subscribers and activity in broadcasts.

To get verified in the VKontakte with Authors community, you will now need to have at least 5 thousand subscribers and actively publish at least four posts and 10 stories per month. These changes will come into force from January next year, but a transition period will be provided until the end of this year to allow authors to adapt to the new requirements.

VKontakte says these changes are based on feedback from users and authors who want to see relevant content from verified authors on verified profiles and communities.
