Finland will consider banning real estate transactions in winter for citizens of countries outside the European Economic Area (EEA), including Russians, the country’s Defense Minister Antti Häkkänen said, RIA Novosti reported.
There will be exceptions to the ban, but they are not yet clear. The government will approve a list of specific situations in which purchase and sale transactions will be possible.
In September 2023, Finland planned to join the Baltic countries in deciding not to allow cars with Russian license plates into its territory. There may be some exceptions, which will be announced later. Previously, Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia had restrictions on cars coming from the Russian Federation.
