Business bank “Blank” conducted a telephone survey among 2.5 thousand businessmen from 45 regions (mainly individual entrepreneurs from more than a million cities and large cities) and found that 58% of Russian managers could not afford going on vacation in the last two years. Another 31% “allow themselves” to rest only once a year.

58% of Russian businessmen have not been on vacation for more than two years due to force majeure

Of them, only 9% managed to completely disconnect from work while on vacation (the rest continue to control everything remotely). And although 65% of business owners consider a two-week vacation optimal, in reality their vacation lasted a week or less.

The bank’s press service discovered the key reasons for such processing without the possibility of rest:

  • Irregular hours and frequent force majeure (35%),
  • problems in delegation or inability to adequately control ongoing projects (24%),
  • financial reasons (16%).

“Entrepreneurs are literally passionate about their business and vacations are a lower priority for them than business development tasks. Routine and hypercontrol prevent them from resting,” says Ekaterina Borscheva, sales director at Blank Bank for Business, highlighting that credit institutions strive to create solutions that help maintain a balance between work and personal life (online accounting or integration with financial services).

Among the lucky businessmen who manage to go on vacation at least once a year, the majority prefer to travel to other countries (48%), active recreation in nature (37%) or relaxing on the beach (15%) are also popular. among businessmen.
