Yandex.Maps has added color three-dimensional models of landmarks in Moscow and St. Petersburg, the company said in a statement.
In Moscow you can see the Tretyakov Gallery, the Pushkin Museum, GES-2, St. Basil’s Cathedral, the Bolshoi Theater, the Ostankino Tower, the main building of Moscow State University and other objects. In total there are about two dozen attractions.
Among the 3D models of St. Petersburg are the Hermitage, the Historical Museum and the Peter and Paul Fortress, the Alexander Columns and Two Rostrals, the Church of the Resurrection of Christ, the St. Isaac and Kazan Cathedrals, and the Aurora cruise.
All objects show the main features of architecture, color and shadows. When you switch to the night theme, the buildings will light up.
In July, 2GIS also introduced realistic objects on maps.
