The Moscow Arbitration Court declared Google’s Russian subsidiary Google LLC bankrupt, RIA Novosti reports. The company’s debt amounts to 53.6 billion rubles.
In May 2022, Google went to court to begin bankruptcy proceedings. This step was due to the seizure of the company’s bank account, so office work became impossible. The court initiated bankruptcy proceedings in September of the same year.
At the end of August, voting rights worth about 20.2 billion rubles were entered in the creditors’ credit register. The main creditor with voting rights is the Federal Tax Service.
In early September, the temporary director of Google LLC, Valery Talyarovsky, revealed signs of deliberate bankruptcy. He noted a significant decrease in the organization’s liquidity, which has been observed since December 2020.
According to the manager, at that time the company’s dividend payment debt to the founders already amounted to 10 million rubles.
