Taxi service Yango will open its first international office in Dubai

Owned by Yandex parent company Yandex NV, taxi service Yango will open its first international operating office in Dubai. Interfax writes about this in reference to the company’s message.

The Dubai office will manage Yango’s global operations and Yango’s delivery service. The office will open in the fourth quarter of 2023 and will be located in Dubai Internet City.

Currently, the Yango service is represented in more than 20 countries, including the United Arab Emirates, Norway and Israel.

It previously became known that authorities in the Netherlands, where Yandex NV is registered, launched an investigation into Yango. The reason was the new Russian law on taxi activities: according to it, the FSB gained access to taxi databases.
