Mineral acids cannot be used in their pure form. Otherwise, you will most likely damage the internal parts of the washing machine.
The only inorganic acid you can try is sulfamic acid. It is specially designed for cleaning tubular electric heaters from scale.
Another way to protect your washing machine from limescale is to soften the water. This can be done in two ways. In the first case, a polyphosphate filter is used. However, to avoid this, you can run the washing machine empty every week in the “Cotton 90” mode with the addition of washing powder.
