At the meeting in Kiev on October 20, Zelenskaya addressed Google representatives with a request for “Russification” of search results if the user comes from Ukrainian territory, and in this regard, demanded that Crimea be displayed in Ukrainian. Zelenskaya also asked Google not to mention Ukraine’s CIS membership on YouTube.

Anton Gorelkin welcomed the meeting and emphasized that the information policy in Ukraine indicates that Google will most likely try to fulfill Zelenskaya’s demands, but this is unlikely to help eliminate the Russian language.
