WhatsApp has released an interface update with new colors and icons. The aim is to make the app more modern and visually appealing, as no such changes have been made for a while.

However, there is no mention of the color change in the official changelog yet. According to website WABetaInfoThe new interface features a new shade of green as the main color of the app, and redesigned icons are available in the app settings or on the chat information screen.

The new look was rolled out to Meta messenger beta users in the 23.21.1.70 update for iOS. Some WhatsApp users on iPhone already have the new feature coming with the stable update with build number 23.21.72 and it is now available on the App Store.

However, the new look has been rolled out gradually, so it’s possible that many users will only receive the update in the coming weeks.

Other WhatsApp news

Recently, WhatsApp has also released updates regarding accounts. Last week, Messenger now allows users to use two different accounts on the same device.

Initially, this functionality is available on Android devices, but there is no date yet for it to arrive on iOS. This feature is in stark contrast to the feature launched in April that allowed the same account to be used on five different mobile phones.

All users now have the ability to create channels. The app is testing other updates, such as the possibility of monophonic voicemail. This is already allowed for photos and videos in Messenger. It also creates a tool for creating group events.
