Nikita Efremov’s limited clothing and shoe boutique denied information about recent store searches. According to the boutique’s advertising department, these were not searches, but an inspection. The day before it was reported that Efremov’s stores in Moscow and St. Petersburg were searched and several thousand pairs of shoes confiscated.
Nikita Efremova’s chain of limited clothing and footwear stores commented in the media that searches were carried out in the chain’s boutiques.
“In stores there is no registration, but rather an inspection. The number of pairs confiscated from us also does not correspond to reality,” the boutique’s advertising department told Kommersant.
On Monday, October 23, it became known about searches in Nikita Efremov’s boutiques in Moscow and St. Petersburg. It was reported that 5,000 pairs of shoes were seized and stores were closed “for technical reasons.”
The reason for the inspections was the buyer’s complaint that the store could not confirm the authenticity of the products. According to this buyer, his request for trademark licensing agreements to sell products was rejected: the boutique was unable to provide him with the relevant documents.
