The BitLocker encryption functionality in Windows 11 Pro reduces the functionality of BitLocker drives by 50%. Most users are unaware of this, or that this feature is enabled by default.

Enthusiasts at Tom’s Hardware have released a series of tests to run these features against system performance. They used only three scenarios: without encryption, with BitLocker and its BitLocker companion application. For testing, I ordered a 4TB Samsung 990 Pro SSD paired with an Intel Core i.9-12900K processor and 32GB of DDR4 RAM. Tests were conducted on Windows 11 Pro without any lag.

BitLocker

PCMark 10 benchmark testing appears to include BitLocker software. Please note that Crystal Disk Mark has not been tested. Proof of copying data less than 50 GB without DiskBench processing. 11% efficiency.

BitLocker encryption is practical and does not work on Windows 10 Pro, it is not very practical. They are included for use on Windows 11 Pro. Windows 11 Home users don’t appear here. Job. Also, test authors use PC configuration to analyze – this is not true. It is also important to see BitLocker, and vice versa.
