Users can activate this mode using a special button located between the search bar and the three-dot menu. The two-page layout is designed to make the books easier to use on large-screen Android devices such as tablets and foldables. The layout takes full advantage of the available screen space.
It is now available to all Google Workspace users and users with a personal Google account.
Google Drive rolled out several tablet-focused updates this year, including the ability to draw on and highlight PDFs, multi-instance support, a navigation menu, and larger widgets.
