In the first six months of 2023, Yandex removed from searches 190,525 links to sites included in the Roskomnadzor register of prohibited sites. During the same period, the company removed more than 800 links to prohibited content from its services.

Yandex removed more than 190,000 search links over six months at the request of Roskomnadzor

The Yandex report clarifies that links are automatically removed when included in Roskomnadzor’s register of prohibited sites.

According to the document, in the first half of 2023, Yandex blocked 821 links to content recognized as prohibited on its services. Most of the content was removed from Yandex.Music – 305 podcasts and tracks.

Additionally, over six months, the company received 32,664 official requests from government agencies to disclose user data. Three-quarters of the applications (77%) were accepted.

The most “popular” services among government agencies were “Taxi” (19,481 approved applications), “Mail” (5,625) and “Food” (3,861).
