In particular, it provides the ability to recognize texts written in the Old Kalmyk alphabet Todo Bichig, and also provides an interface for working with electronic texts in the Kalmyk language and recognizing spoken speech in the Kalmyk language. It also includes a consolidated electronic dictionary.
This project is of great importance for the preservation of Kalmyk culture and language and for research in this field. The line’s products have received official state registration certificates, which emphasizes their importance and legitimacy.
One of the important aspects of this initiative is the recognition of Old Kalmyk writings, which makes archival materials about Todo Bichig accessible to the general public. The rector of KalmSU noted that this helps to spread Kalmyk culture among young people and schoolchildren.
The products in this series also aim for integration with the Yandex Translator system, which opens new horizons for the use of the Kalmyk language in the modern world.
