It has become easier for citizens of Russia “friendly” countries to open accounts in Russian banks. The government approved the corresponding decision, said the head of the cabinet, Mikhail Mishustin.
“To do this, foreign citizens must submit a package of necessary documents to a credit institution located in their country before entering Russia. Upon arrival, you will be able to make payments in our banks,” Mishustin said.
The Prime Minister noted that the new mechanism will be convenient for tourists and businessmen coming to Russia.
Mishustin also clarified that the list of countries covered by the mechanism includes Belarus, Kazakhstan, Brazil, India, China, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and some other states.
