Citibank will introduce several restrictions for its clients on money transfers and payment of services. They will begin operating on December 1, according to the bank’s website.

Debit cardholders will be prohibited from making outbound transfers from a Citibank card to cards from other banks using their number. For owners of any Citibank card, it will be impossible to pay for communication, housing and communal services and television using payments made through Qiwi Bank.

Citibank clients will be able to make transfers in rubles only using card details or SBP by phone number.

In September, Citibank announced the closure of its ATM network in Russia. In early August, Citibank announced the imminent closure of its retail business in the country.

According to RBC sources, the buyer of Citibank’s consumer loan portfolio will be Uralsib Bank.
