The US Department of Justice has published an excerpt from Apple’s internal presentation during the Google v. Apple cases.
This presentation was made in a letter by company vice president Eddie Cue sent to Tim Cook in 2013. It details how companies compete in the privacy space.
The most interesting point in the document was the slide on which it was said that Android is a tool that causes surveillance for users.
Apple says it only resolves data between services when it provides the best customer experience. At the same time, Google accepts data in all services in any situation. Other examples include Google’s voice search making decisions on user accounts, while Siri’s user data makes decisions only on assistant votes. [Android Authority]
