Experience the magic of T2

Airport Singapore Changi earlier this year received the top award for best airport, and it’s even before announce a radical renovation of Terminal 2.

The new facilities were opened a few days ago and represent an amazing combination of nature, technology and elegant appearance.

Of particular interest are the new digital experiences that passengers can enjoy while waiting for their flight.

For example, Wonderfall is a four-story digital waterfall located between two lush gardens. About 900 individual tiles were used to create the LED wall, which seamlessly connect into three large flat segments. The video, on a huge screen reaching to the top of the departure lounge, features instrumental compositions written by Canadian artist Jean-Michel Blais.

The interesting thing is how it frames the entrance to the elevator lobby so it feels like you’re walking right through it (don’t worry, no umbrella needed).

Those stopping to view the exhibition are encouraged to look for little surprises such as rainbows, butterflies and a kingfisher flying across the digital landscape.

The transit area of Changi Airport’s new Terminal 2 also features a stunning new Dreamscape feature, featuring a spectacular garden overlooking a pond, set under a dynamic digital sky.

“Integrated with the airport’s weather system, it simulates daylight and weather conditions in real time,” Changi Airport says on its website, adding that sometimes the sky turns into an underwater portal where fish, otters and even a sampan boat swim. a kind of small wooden boat used on the rivers and coasts of Asia.

Dreamscape also features over 20,000 plants from over 100 species with special lighting to enhance their texture and structure.
