Nintendo is confident it can sell enough games to generate at least 500 billion yen, or $3.3 billion, in operating income, up from the previous 450 billion yen. The company also said it expects the games to sell about 5 million more copies, raising its forecast to 185 million copies.
In fiscal terms, the new forecast was based on a weaker yen than the previous one, but fell short of analysts’ average expectations of 529 billion yen.
