Sources say that HMD Global, the company behind the Nokia brand, will stop producing phones under this name by 2026.

HMD Global, which took over from Nokia, plans to launch its smartphone series in India by April 2024.

These devices will be aimed at the budget and mid-price segments, with a focus on online sales through platforms like Amazon and Flipkart. At the same time, sales of Nokia devices will continue mostly through offline channels until they disappear from the market completely.

HMD’s new smartphone lineup will offer users more frequent operating system updates and a stock version of Android similar to the one used on Nokia phones.

The company also plans to expand its product line to include tablets, feature phones and Internet of Things devices, each of which will have their own price range, unlike Nokia products.
