OpenAI has introduced a more powerful and cheaper version of its language model: ChatGPT-4 Turbo. It is now available via API, its knowledge limit is April 2023.
GPT-4 Turbo can be integrated with DALL-E 3, visual and text-to-speech capabilities, expanding the use of AI.
The company said that the new version costs developers three times cheaper: $0.01 per 1,000 input tokens and $0.03 per 1,000 output tokens.
According to OpenAI, improvements in GPT-4 Turbo allow the language model to perform more complex tasks in a single request. Users can even specify which encoding language to use to produce results, such as XML or JSON.
OpenAI previously added voice chats with a bot and image support to ChatGPT. New features have appeared for Plus and Enterprise subscription owners.
