US startup Scentbird, which sells designer perfume samples via subscription, has raised $820,000 from venture capital firm The Garage Syndicate. This was announced by one of the founders of the fund, Sergei Mosunov. No other details of the transaction were provided.

Scentbird was founded in 2014 by Maria Nurislamova, Sergey Gusev, Andrey Rebrov and Rachel ten Brink. A year later, the project went through the Y Combinator accelerator program and raised $1 million for development from Y Combinator, TMT Investments, 500 Startups, and Dominion Capital.

In 2018, Scentbird raised $18.6 million in Series A funding. The startup planned to use the funds to accelerate product development and expand the company in the market, focusing on consumer experience and new talent.
