The new chip is expected to be used in China’s leading Android smartphones, but its appearance in the American market is in doubt.
The Dimensity 9300 features a unique architecture with “larger” performance cores that MediaTek claims delivers improved performance and 33% lower power consumption compared to its predecessor.
The company also claims that the new chip is 40% more powerful than its predecessor and can achieve higher benchmark scores.
Additionally, the Dimensity 9300 features an advanced GPU with ray tracing support, twice the AI processing power, support for high refresh rates, and Wi-Fi 7 compatibility, making it highly competitive in the market.
The first devices powered by Dimensity 9300 are expected to launch in November, and there are speculations that the new Vivo X100 will be the first smartphone with this chip, aiming to compete with the Snapdragon-powered Xiaomi 14.
