The Russian Venture Company (RVC) will create the RVC Academy, a non-profit educational project for participants in the Russian venture market. This is stated in the message from the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF, RVC is part of its structure).
The RVC Academy’s first project will be a course for venture capital fund managers focused on investments in Russian technology companies.
The course will cover key aspects of forming and managing a venture fund: from attracting investors and analyzing investment opportunities to managing companies and portfolio risks.
The project is aimed at professional participants in the risk industry, as well as financiers and investors who want to focus their work on the risk market and technological entrepreneurship, says RDIF.
RVC CEO Anatoly Braverman hopes that the academy will improve the quality of work of existing funds, form new teams and subsequently allow “the launch of new funds with high-quality management, which will provide an additional influx of investments in the development of Russian technology”. companies.”
RVC is a state fund of funds created in 2006 to develop the Russian venture capital market. Since 2021, as part of the reform of development institutions, RVC has been part of the RDIF structure.
