There was, of course, the wonderful Guardians of the Galaxy: Part 3, but these were more conclusions from the rules – many thanks to James Gunn, who explained the concept of his own film trilogy.

Between the films there were also frankly passable projects presented to the audience in video series. Compared to them, only “Loki” was preferred in both seasons. The rest of the works tried to be restrained towards a certain level of “agenda”, losing the ideology and ideology of Marvel.

We have already watched the new product and will hasten to share our impressions. Did the authors manage to avoid past mistakes? Spoiler: more likely no than yes.

The original film does not require a sequel

What is the movie about: Carol Danvers regains her lost identity, taken away by the Kree tyrants, and takes revenge on the Supreme Intelligence. However, unintended consequences lead to Carol taking the time of a destabilized universe onto her shoulders.

The entire original painting was dedicated to an independent and independent female person. There was no hero in the Marvel Cinematic Universe who was powerfully promoted against the background of others and at the same time was a woman. The authors decided to make them Carol Danvers, who in more than 2 hours became perhaps the most powerful superhero in the world.

Too much? Yes. And not because it is a woman. Each cult hero had his own story of development, consisting of several parts (somewhere solo albums, and somewhere part of a compiled picture). Here we were given a powerful hero who was present somewhere, but he is always busy with his heroic deeds.

The authors of the first part realized their mistakes and decided to correct themselves in the sequel… by adding several strong female characters at once. One of them even had a small project “Ms. Marvel”, which also managed to fail on streaming services.

So what do we have for 2023? Two failed projects about absolutely boring heroes, whom you don’t want to empathize with, and also a heroine new to the franchise. Imagine what could have gone wrong?

This is already the 33rd film in the MCU, and even the most devoted fans are to blame for this, because they decided to omit all the intricacies, throwing in only a number of facts. No one can do this without Wikipedia.

The main plot is based on three (but actually more than two) main superheroes. One walks in the frame with an eternally stern expression on her face, the second is a naive fan, and the third cannot pronounce her nickname at all for half the running time. There is no chemistry between the charactersbut they constantly hug in order to somehow close this.

Only the supervillain Dar-Benn can please us. She has a clear motivation here, and you can at least empathize with her a little. But this turns out to be not enough, because the actress is supposedly winning back her fee, but is not trying to show anything more. You simply can’t believe her actions, and the painted grimace of the “villain” only makes you smile.

The story itself lacks normal development. Everything happens so slowlythat you will involuntarily look at your watch several times. The key events of the film are told in just a few minutes for every 2 hours of running time. Here there is endless exposition that rarely leads to anything intelligible.

It seems that the original story was originally made differently, but they decided to cut the final result differently almost at the last moment.

Even the picture here can’t be called good

We have already managed to understand that Marvel films require huge budgets that are spent, if not on a good plot, then on excellent graphics. But even in this case, Captain Marvel 2 manages to fail.

There is literally nothing to grab onto in the picture. The general atmosphere seems to be the same all the CGI moments are poorly drawn, on which the movie is based. It’s a cross between The Incredible Hulk and the Last Ant-Man. The same Kree starting world is beautifully done, even impressive in places, but it is overrun by unnatural inhabitants and alien invaders.

Probably only the cats with tentacles were successful, which, among other things, advanced during the PR campaign at the big ball in Las Vegas.

The fight scenes were staged well, but they only added some excitement to the picture. But their expression is too small for this film, and none of them are memorable. Interaction Captain Marvel and Ms. Marvel constantly appear on the screen, but they always attract attention only as the second heroine, having forgotten about the girl from the time of “The Avengers”. The focus is constantly shifting, there is no stability, which is why the gaze quickly grows.

Garbage unworthy of attention

Alas, this is the only way I can call the sequel to Captain Marvel. Even the original picture looked more complete than what happened in 2023.

Almost everything is bad here. And, most importantly, it is unclear where the cinematic universe will go next. It seems that Marvel itself has become entangled in its own intricacies and no longer knows which way to develop the story. You can’t do without a thermos of coffee and generally studying all the projects.

Here you need to know the plots of all the films and series of the fourth and fifth phases, like Secret Invasion and WandaVision, because otherwise you will not understand half the references and plot fragments.

Captain Marvel 2 is one of the best films in the MCU universe, and the first builds have already proven it. I wouldn’t read the news even to true Marvel fans, but it’s up to you.
