A group of scientists from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Institute of Geochemistry and several other organizations published in Science Bulletin a detailed map of the surface of the Moon at a scale of 1:2500000, which has significant scientific lunar objects – craters, basins and even individual large stones.
According to experts, of all previously published lunar maps, this is the most common. The Celestial Empire had to conduct a study of a large volume of geological studies of the lunar surface of the past and studied century. Due to the unique scale of the maps, we were able to display about a hundred differences in color.
It is known that the high density of the Moon was previously detected with an even more impressive scale – 1: 5000000, however, Chinese compared to the total density of the natural satellite.
Without detracting from the merits of Chinese scientists, it is still worth noting that when creating a unique map, they actively use communications collected jointly by Soviet / Russian scientists.
