Alexander Boldonov, the author of the project and a graduate student at the Department of Aircraft and Helicopter Engineering, emphasized that the new device will allow the aircraft to be used in areas of limited size. This will greatly facilitate the delivery of medical workers, rescuers and other experts to remote areas that are difficult to reach by conventional means.

According to Boldonov, the aircraft modernization kit (AMC) consists of an electric propeller assembly, batteries and electronics intended for installation on light aircraft. This hardware will allow vertical takeoff and landing and bring the aircraft’s functionality closer to that of a helicopter.

The author of the project noted that the project has already passed the stage of creating a 3D model and calculations and applying for grants, which emphasizes its potential importance for the aviation industry.
