Kaspersky Lab shared useful tips for safe online shopping during Black Friday. They advise you to carefully check the site name in the address bar, be wary of generous offers and avoid clicking on dubious links from emails, instant messengers or SMS.
Experts also recommend choosing reliable sellers with positive reviews and paying special attention to the site domain: new sites or sites registered to a private person may be fraudulent. It is also recommended to use reliable security measures as it will warn of phishing or attempts to switch to fake resources.
It should be noted that attackers adapt their plans to current events such as Black Friday. The annual online sale in Russia started on November 23 and will last for three days. Black Friday turns into a season of crazy discounts and kicks off the Christmas shopping season.
