The Gizmochina portal states that folder navigation will improve and the user will better understand his position in the complex storage structure. The update also ties together the tablet version’s interface and the Google Drive web interface. This is a new milestone in bringing Google Workspace to large-screen mobile devices.
Interaction with files will also improve. Now when the user clicks on a file, they will see detailed information, including the last modification date and the cloud space each file takes up. And file management in general will be simplified.
Additionally, to improve user experience, Google Drive’s interface for tablets and foldable devices will be aligned with Google’s Material Design 3 guidelines for a harmonious and pleasing aesthetic.
The update will be available to all Google Workspace users and those with a personal Google account. The release will be available on November 27 for Planned Release areas.
