Valve announced continued support for Steam on older versions of macOS.

Starting February 15, the Game Store will no longer be updated for macOS High Sierra and macOS Mojave.

Unfortunately, macOS 10.14 (Mojave) was the last version to support 32-bit games on macOS. Apple has decided to drop support for 32-bit apps in macOS 10.15, and since many developers haven’t updated games to support 64-bit apps, some games will have little to no functionality on macOS. Over 98% of Steam clients on Mac are already running macOS 10.15 or later.

To ensure Steam and new 64-bit games purchased through Steam continue to function, users of these older versions must update to a more recent version of macOS.

Steam will also not be able to provide support for issues related to older operating groups, and Valve will not be able to ensure that Steam will work on these versions of the OS.
