SpaceX launched the first satellites in Armenia, Ireland and South Korea. During the last launch, Elon Musk’s company successfully put 24 spacecraft into orbit; the South Korean one will be used for reconnaissance in North Korea.
SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket launched 24 spacecraft into orbit. The launch took place from Vandenberg Air Force Base in the US state of California, Reuters reported.
During the launch, the first satellites of Armenia and Ireland were put into orbit. The Armenian Hayasat-1 is used for scientific purposes; The satellite will orbit the Earth every hour and a half. Irish Eirsat-1 was developed by students at Dublin College and will be used for research purposes.
South Korea’s first satellite, Project 425 EO/IR, will conduct reconnaissance in North Korea. By 2025, five of these devices will be put into orbit, the agency clarifies.
It was previously reported that SpaceX plans to sell some of its shares in December, valuing the company at almost $150 billion.
