inDrive founder and CEO Arsen Tomsky announced at the Alternativa Film Awards ceremony that he had received Kazakh citizenship.
“I would like to thank the country’s leaders for their trust and invitation, and all Kazakhstan and its inhabitants for becoming inDrive’s second home,” the businessman is quoted as saying by kapital.kz.
The CEO of inDrive also expressed special thanks to the Minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry, Baghdat.
In 2022, inDrive ceased operations in Russia and transferred most of its assets to Kazakhstan, where the service initially developed its business since 2014.
Already in June 2023, Indrive’s delivery service “Indrive.Couriers” tested the launch of horse-drawn goods delivery in Kazakhstan.
In November 2023, inDrive announced the creation of a New Ventures division, which will make venture investments in promising startups in the country of location (up to $100 million).
