IT integrator Sibintek, part of Rosneft, has introduced a new corporate mobile operator called RN-Svyaz. This operator was created to provide safe and reliable mobile communications in remote areas and was presented at the Russian exhibition and forum IT Days.

The creation of its own cellular operator and the use of Private LTE (pLTE) technology will allow Rosneft to provide high-quality communications and secure data transfer at production facilities. pLTE-based solutions are already being implemented in 20 of the company’s facilities, and the project is based entirely on domestic equipment.

This project becomes part of a complex ecosystem consisting of a network of data centers, enterprise operator, content distribution systems and other telecommunications services. Sibintek is also actively building its own contact centers. Rosneft plans to integrate various industrial technologies developed by Sibintek into the new network, such as Digital Factory, Digital Field, enterprise telemetry platform and industrial Internet system.
