Retailer Vkusville has launched a platform for new product creators. It was developed within the framework of the work of the center for the development of IT and R&D solutions in the FoodTech and HoReCa field, the chain’s press service reported.

Vkusville launched a platform for creators of new products

The company hopes the platform approach will help improve the launch of new products. And for the participants in the experiment, this is an opportunity to sell their products online. Those who pass the selection will also receive a cash bonus for each product created.

The platform makes it possible to combine the originator of the idea, the manufacturer and the experience and distribution system of Vkusvill, the company notes.

Each creator has a quota for the number of new products released, which can increase and decrease depending on the success of the tests.

Customer journey leader at Vkuskivll, Andrey Belugin, said this project was inspired by the idea of Haier’s platform approach.

“We want manufacturers, technologists and product managers to be more imaginative, not afraid to take risks and do something non-standard. “Vkusville is ready to support all brave innovators, to help with its resources and accumulated experience on the path from the idea to the product in the buyer’s basket,” notes Belugin.

Requirements for participants of the “Vkusvill Platform for Creators of New Products”

To apply, you must be a specialist with experience in retail and product manufacturing. Employees from the R&D departments and suppliers can also participate.

Product creators must have access to manufacturing facilities in order to produce a test batch.

The network’s experts will evaluate the proposals in terms of novelty and purity of composition. The company is mainly interested in food products. New products between vegetables and fruits have less priority (unless it is a rare hybrid).

How the company tests proposed products

The uniqueness of the product is first evaluated and then tested. At the next stage, specialists check the quality of the potential product and its composition for compliance with the documentary base.

Next, the packaging design is developed. Products on the platform can be presented with a private label or with a manufacturer’s label without indicating third-party brands.

If the product passes these stages, it is sent to the shelves of various points of sale for a period of two months. After the launch of sales, experts conduct weekly analysis, study customer ratings and reviews.

If the product has a high rating, then the process of scaling sales follows and the author of the idea receives additional fees for the creation of new products.

To apply, you must fill out a form on the company’s website.
