Of the 41 patients with confirmed arrhythmia, with a mean age of 13.8 years, 71% underwent additional testing due to results obtained using Apple Watch. The study also noted cases where the Apple Watch detected arrhythmias that other sophisticated sensors could not, highlighting its potential diagnostic value.

While FDA approval for detecting irregular heartbeats using Apple Watch is currently limited to adults over 22, this study hints at its effectiveness in pediatric cases.
