Xiaomi started We’re releasing HyperOS to users around the world this Monday (18). The company’s new operating system first arrived on eight of the company’s devices, including Redmi models.
HyperOS was introduced in October this year. The operating system that replaces MIUI is based on Linux and the proprietary Vela system but offers a very similar experience to its predecessor on the mobile phone.

But the biggest difference is in the integration of the ecosystem. According to Xiaomi, HyperOS “makes all connected devices compatible, allowing the software to adapt to the user’s needs.”
One of the focuses of this update is optimization. HyperOS aims to provide greater agility in daily activitiesbut without much need for the device’s CPU, GPU or memory.
HyperOS also offers animations, faster app launches, visual tweaks, generative AI features, and better connectivity between devices.
Which mobile phones will get HyperOS?
In the announcement, Xiaomi also announced which devices will be the first to receive the HyperOS update. Check out:
- Xiaomi 13 Ultra;
- Xiaomi 13T;
- Xiaomi 13 Pro;
- Xiaomi13;
- Xiaomi 13T Pro;
- Redmi Note 12;
- Redmi Note 12S;
- Xiaomi Pad 6.
As for subsidiary Poco, Only Poco F5 will receive the update at first. The company promised to release the update schedule for more devices in the future.

POCO F5 owners will be the first to experience Xiaomi HyperOS. Eligible users will receive the OTA update and be able to experience the new features.

More Xiaomi mobile phones will receive the update
Although Xiaomi lists only eight devices, they won’t be the only ones to get the build. In the post, the company stated that it will announce the launch dates of more handsets soon.
According to Xiaomi, the update is distributed via OTA (Over-the-air). Therefore, it comes to compatible devices automatically. Now, There is no information about the update coming to mobile phones sold in Brazil.but it’s worth paying attention to system notifications.
