In 2024, the carsharing market will grow by almost 41%, up to 62 billion rubles. Among the reasons are rising prices for purchasing and maintaining personal cars and rising prices for taxi rides.

Car-sharing market will grow to 62 billion rubles by 2024

For comparison: the volume of the taxi market will grow by about 7% annually, classic car rental – by 9%, writes Kommersant with reference to B1.

According to analysts, in 2023 the average cost of 1 km of travel by shared car was 23 rubles, while by taxi it was 39 rubles. On average, car sharing costs the user 35% less than a taxi per year and three times cheaper than maintaining their own car.

  • The cost of auto parts in ad aggregators and in passenger car insurance repair catalogs for 2023 increased by 7% to 17%. This is reflected in the cost of maintaining the vehicle. The average cost of a standard hour of maintenance work for passenger cars remained practically unchanged this year and ranged from 700 to 2 thousand rubles.
