Rosbank decided to create its own collection agency – RB Collect. The bank itself has been providing collection services on an agency basis for more than six years and currently its portfolio includes debts from more than 35 partners.
Among the reasons are new requirements that have narrowed creditors’ options. The agency will also help optimize the collection process and save on the maintenance of a special department, experts told Kommersant.
They doubt this practice will become popular among banks: long payback periods and high reputational risks.
The accounts receivable market grew by 10% to 15% in 2022. 22% of small and medium-sized businesses prefer to transfer accounts receivable to collectors for collection, 56% are interested in cooperating with them.
Analysts believe that working with overdue legal entities is fundamentally different from working with debts of citizens, and collectors do not always have the competence and ability to organize work in this direction.
