Vodka, gin, whiskey and wine makers have already notified chains of price increases of up to 10% from 2024, and importers expect suppliers to increase prices by between 5% and 25%, he writes Kommersant.

Alcohol producers will increase prices by 10% from 2024

The Siberian Alcoholic Group (ASG; brands Belaya Berezka, Sibbitter, Five Lakes) and Ladoga (Tsarskaya, Barrister, Fowler’s) are preparing for an increase. Companies expect indexation to be gradual.

The Ministry of Finance reported that sellers independently set alcohol prices, not lower than the minimum retail price (MRP).

The CEO of the Fort wine marketing company, Alexander Lipilin, says that buyers, as a rule, are not ready to pay more for alcoholic beverages than they are used to, and if the price increases by more than 10-15% , you can switch to other brands or drinks.

Previously, the Union of Alcohol Producers (Rosspirtprom, ASG, Novabev Group, Ladoga, etc.) proposed increasing the minimum price for vodka by 7% in 2024. The excise duty on vodka is planned to increase next year by 5 % up to 128.6 rubles per 0.5 liter bottle, indicate the authors of the appeal. Manufacturers’ logistics costs have increased and packaging, ingredients and closures have become more expensive due to the devaluation of the ruble.
