The introduction of self-driving cars presupposes the lack of availability of information among other road users. Mercedes-Benz has redesigned this Drive Pilot system so its functionality is now available.

We are talking about turquoise-blue lights, with the help of which the autonomous vehicle will “inform” itself to other drivers and pedestrians. With this information, they can take safety measures. Drive Pilot developers explained the choice of blue color by the fact that it differs from the colors usual for drivers and is adjusted for road traffic.

After initial testing of the Drive Pilot system, it was recently released in Spain.
