Xiaomi held a grand presentation this year, where it demonstrated the SU7 electric car and revealed all its characteristics.

SU7 is a technological sedan that Xiaomi will produce together with Chinese manufacturer BAIC. Its length is 4997 mm.

There will be two versions of the car:

▪️ Rear drive: one engine with 299 hp, torque 400 Nm, range 668 km, top speed 210 km/h.

▪️ Four-wheel drive: two engines with a total power of 673 hp, torque 838 Nm, range 800 km, top speed 265 km/h

The all-wheel drive version accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.78 seconds, and from 0 to 200 km/h in 10.67 seconds.

The SU7’s cabin features a large touchscreen in the center and an electronic instrument panel and head-up display. All displays run HyperOS, which replaced MIUI.

The central screen has a diagonal of 16.1 inches and a 3K resolution, the dashboard is 7.1 inches. There is support for CarPlay and Android Auto. In addition, smartphones running HyperOS can be synchronized with the machine.

Below the display is a climate control unit with physical buttons.

Former designers of the Mercedes-Benz Vision EQXX and BMW iX participated in the development of the car’s design. Xiaomi later hired Chris Bangle, who was BMW’s chief designer from 1992 to 2007, as a design consultant.

The interior is available in three colors: white, red and black. The car itself will be sold in grey, blue and green colors. The company will announce prices and sales start dates later. [Engadget]
