According to tests conducted by YouTube channel iAppleBytes, the update increased the iPhone 11’s battery life by 6.7% compared to the previous version of iOS 17.2.

At the same time, other iPhone models such as the iPhone 13 also experienced a decrease in battery life after the update. For example, the iPhone 13 dropped from 4460 points to 4180 points in GeekBench 4, losing 6.3% of its battery life.

These results highlight the importance of regular system updates to keep devices operating at their best. At least some of them.

The iOS 17.2.1 update in particular shows how software improvements can have a positive impact on battery life, especially for older models like the iPhone 11.
