According to technology analyst Jeff Pu, the iPhone 16 Pro/Pro Max is Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon X75 5G modem. The regular iPhone 16 uses the Snapdragon X70 modems used in the iPhone 15 line.
The Snapdragon X75 has improved aggregation frequency and other enhancements for faster 5G download and upload speeds compared to the X70. The combined mmWave transceiver and sub-6 GHz 5G modem takes up 25% less board space and consumes 20% less power.
