This Thursday (16), website AppleInsider it revealed iOS 16 should allow system app removal up to 29, that is, accompanying the device “out of the box”. The discovery was made by testing beta versions that may receive other unexpected changes and news during the development of the new operating system.

In this regard, it is important to clarify that with the updates of the operating system, the number of “compatible” applications with this feature has increased, and it is possible to remove 27 of them even in iOS 15. It is widely available on this list. Apps like ‘Calculator’, ‘Contacts’, ‘Calendar’ and ‘FaceTime’ as well as other apps that could be considered niche like ‘Books’ and ‘Exchange’.

So, as a novelty, iOS 16 surprisingly adds the “Clock” and “Camera” apps to the list. However, like the source details, removing these software does not mean losing its corresponding or most used function. For example, in the case of “Contacts”, the user can still access the original information in other applications, such as “Messages” and “Mail”.
